We understand that your pet is part of your family and we are a family resort.  In order to keep your pet and other guests safe and happy, please read and follow our Pet Policy.

Desert Lake is Pet Friendly

On the Camp Ground and Camping Sites

Pets are permitted in the park and it is your responsibility to ensure that your comply with our Pet Policy when your pet is any where on the grounds of Desert Lake Family Resort.

  • Leash and clean up policy applies at all times when outside.

  • A maximum of 2 pets per campsite

  • A release will be signed upon check-in stating total responsibility for any damages caused by pets in anywhere in the campground.

  • Please do not bring barking or vicious dogs. Pets that bark excessively, act in an aggressive manner or disturb other guests or resort staff will not be tolerated. No refunds are given for unused accommodations or campsite in the event of an early check-out.

Staying in our Accomodations

  • A maximum of 2 pets in a unit.

  • Please do not bring barking or vicious dogs. Pets that bark excessively, act in an aggressive manner or disturb other guests or resort staff will not be tolerated. No refunds are given for unused accommodations in the event of an early check-out.

  • Pets are not allowed on the furniture or on beds. You will be charged an extra cleaning fee if pet hair has to be removed from bedding and furniture.

  • Animals are never to be alone in the room.

  • Pets are permitted in “Pet Friendly” rooms only. If you are visiting friends or relatives staying at Desert Lake Family Resort, please ensure your pet does not enter other suites.

Exercising your Pets

We now have a fenced in off-leash area to allow your dogs to run freely and safely.  It is your responsibility to ensure that your dog plays nicely with the other dogs.  If your dog likes to be alone, please ensure that the area is free of other dogs before letting it off-leash.
